Brian Burns graduated from Clark University, Cum Laude with Honors, with a degree in Political Science. After graduation, Brian
founded and operated an online communications company based in Boulder.
After selling his business, Brian attended the Charleston
School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina, receiving his law degree, Magna Cum Laude. During law school, Brian served as an
Editor of the Charleston Law Review and a research assistant. His article, Holding Fire: Why Long Waiting Periods to Buy a Gun
Violate the Second Amendment, was published in the Charleston Law Review.
After law school, Brian served a one-year clerkship
with a Justice on the Supreme Court of South Carolina, gaining exposure to a wide range of areas of the law. In July 2015, he
moved to Grand Junction, where he joined the law firm of Rider & Quesenberry, LLC. Brian maintains a general transactional
practice, with a focus on business matters, real estate and wills and trusts.
Brian's personal interests include sailing, surfing,
working on his friends' ranch, and attempting to play golf.
